Activforce 2 includes a handheld dynamometer and inclinometer that provide accurate force and angle measurement along with an easy-to-use companion application that tracks and records patient progress. The comprehensive Activforce 2 platform provides real-time strength and range of motion measurements and tracks patient progress along the rehabilitation continuum.

The Activforce 2 package includes the following components

  • Activforce 2 dynamometer

  • Rounded pad

  • Arched pad

  • Hand and leg straps

  • Mobilization belt

  • Belt loop plate

  • Custom carrying case

The rounded pad is the default accessory for measuring strength and range of motion on most body parts, while the arched pad is used to test angular body parts such as the elbow. The mobilization belt aids in pull measurements by helping therapists apply traction to the spine or the joints to stabilize movement during certain protocols. Hand and leg straps are provided to securely hold the Activforce 2 dynamometer in place during measurement.

USAGE, SAFETY, MAINTENANCE AND TROUBLESHOOTING

Usage

The Activforce 2 dynamometer is designed for measuring compressive forces up to 90 kg  or 200  lbs. by  applying  pressure  to  the dynamometer’s  exterior  surfaces,  when  placed  between  two  body  parts,  such  as  your  palms,  or  a  body  part  and  object,  such as your palm and a desktop. Pressing on or near the belt will result  in  an  inaccurate  force  measurement and may cause physical injury. Make sure to  follow  the  instructions  and  guidelines,  as  provided in the Activforce 2 mobile companion app and/or the FAQ's.

Safety

The Activforce 2 dynamometer is certified  compliant  with  all  required  safety  standards  and  regulations,  including  electro-magnetic  compatibility  and  hazardous  materials,  for  all  territories  it is distributed in.

Flammability

The Activforce 2 dynamometer is not waterproof and should not be immersed in or   sprayed   with   water   or   other   liquids.   Like many consumer electronic  devices,  it   is  flammable  and  should be kept from exposure to flame or other excessive heat sources. The dynamometer performance can be also affected by extreme temperature or humidity.

Cleaning

The Activforce 2 dynamometer's external surfaces, including rounded pad and arched soft pad silicon surface can be hand wiped at room termperature with a soft cloth saturated with a cleaning agent such as a 70% solution of isopropyl alcohol and water. The cleaning agent should be allowed to evaporate completely before using the dynamometer. Other antibacterial cleaning agents can be used, such as:

  • non-alcohol based hand wipes

  • alcohol based hand gels consisting of 70% ethanol

These agents may leave trace residue which ca be wiped away with a soft, dry, clean tissue. A bleach solution of hypochlorite at 10,000ppm (or 1% solution) can also be used to clean the dynamometer surfaces, re-attachble pads and silicon covers.

Reset

Your Activforce 2 dynamometer undergoes a normal reset cycle  each  time  you turn it on and on. In rare troubleshooting situations, a  hard  reset  may  be  required.  To do this,  simply  take  the  battery  out  of  its  compartment and insert it back in, following the battery replacement instructions in this User Manual.

Service and Troubleshooting

Other than the  Battery   Replacement   and   Reset (as   described  in  this  User  Manual),  the Activforce 2 dynamometer is designed  for service by authorized personnel only. For further information, please contact support@activbody.com.

Disposal (End of Life)
